The Big Book Review

Found in: | Inside | Books |

This year's Inside/Outside Southwest's annual big book review bring readers a good dose of regional topics. There are the usual coffee table books that present stunning photographs of our majestic landscape. There are a few books that celebrate the legacies of men who cultivated deep relationships with the Grand Canyon. We also learn about other grand canyons of the world. Craig Childs retraces the steps of those who came before us. There are updated and useful guide books for seasonal recreation. A bit of humor in others' misfortunes, a celebration of Mesa Verde National Park, and a peek at what we hope becomes one of many compilations of poems by talented poet and New Mexico resident Kathleen Browning. Take a look.

Amy Maestas is a contributing editor of Inside/Outside Southwest.
