San Juan River Raplee Anticline

The nearly full moon rises over the San Juan River as it flows toward the Raplee anticline formation north of Mexican Hat, Utah. Known locally as the "Navajo Rug," the anticline's upfolded and twisted layers of sandstone resemble a rich native tapestry.
